All about Indoor Environmental Systems Ltd

Founded in 2011, we set out to deliver building services with a difference — combining technical expertise with a commitment to reliability and quality. Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted MEP partner, supporting projects from the very first design concept through to handover and beyond.

In 2025, we entered a new chapter with a refreshed leadership team. With over 30 years of combined experience in the industry, our leaders bring proven expertise and fresh vision to drive the business forward. From our central base in the Midlands, we deliver projects of all sizes across the UK, providing nationwide reach with a local touch.

We operate across all sectors, with specialist expertise in heat networks, energy centres, and high-rise residential developments. Our team thrives on solving complex engineering challenges, ensuring every project is delivered with precision, efficiency, and long-term performance in mind.

Scope of works

Energy Centre & Heat Network

• Full installation and commissioning of all primary and secondary plant, including electric boilers, plate heat exchangers, buffer vessels, pressurisation units, distribution pumps, and press sets.
• Installation of the district heating network to serve all residential blocks.
• Integration with the ESCO system for efficient generation, distribution, and metering of energy.

Mechanical Systems

• Low temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems for heating and domestic hot water supply.
• Chilled Water (CHW) systems for comfort cooling throughout the apartments and common areas.
• Building Management System (BMS) design, installation, and commissioning for advanced control and energy performance monitoring.

Public Health & Apartment Fit-Out

• Full domestic water services (boosted cold water, hot water, and return systems).
• Heat Interface Units (HIUs) installed in every apartment for localised control of heating and hot water.
• Soil, waste, and rainwater drainage installations.
• Mechanical ventilation systems for apartments and common areas.

Full BCWS & Life Safety Systems

• Design, installation, and commissioning of the Boosted Cold water (BCWS) infrastructure.
• Cold water sotrage tanks with duty and standby pumps for reliable water supply.
• Wet riser systems for fire-fighting protection across all high-rise blocks.
• Automatic sprinkler systems throughout the residential apartments and
communal areas, fully integrated and tested to meet current fire safety standards.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Complete commissioning of all plant, distribution, and apartment-level systems.
• Performance validation and collaboration with the ESCO operator to ensure smooth handover and long-term operational efficiency.
• Delivery of detailed 0&M manuals and full training for the facilities management team.
